About us

Vision & Values

The purpose of St Matthew’s can be summarised as: Worshipping God, Equipping His People, Growing His Kingdom and Serving Walsall.

In this we believe we fill Jesus’s commands to love God and love others and to go into the world and make disciples.

Under God, there are three groups at St Matthew’s who help our vision to thrive and flourish, building on a legacy of many centuries.

  • The Leadership Team discerns and monitors the vision.
  • The Parochial Church Council (PCC) provides resources and a legal framework to enact the vision.
  • The People of St Matthew’s, equipped by the Holy Spirit, support and bring the vision to life.
